The Westwood Community School District Board of Education will hold two meetings on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Both meetings will be held at the Equilla Bradford Administrative Center, 3335 S. Beech Daly, Dearborn Heights.
The first meeting will be its annual Organizational Meeting, and it will start at 7 p.m. This meeting is to act on such matters as: the election of officers, setting meeting dates, naming of depositories for funds, and professional service providers such as law firms and auditors.
The second meeting is a special meeting, and it will start at 7:45 p.m. Its purpose is twofold:
- to approve an authorizing resolution so the District can issue bonds to begin the construction process as approved by the voters in the November 7, 2023 election
- to have a first reading for five policies: 0122 (Board Powers), 1420 (School Administrator Evaluation), 3131 (Staff Reductions/Recalls), 3142 (Probationary Teachers), and 3220 (Professional Staff Evaluation)
