The Westwood Community School District will be closed tomorrow, January 16, 2024 due to forecasted dangerously cold temperatures and some icy roads. All after school activities are cancelled. Be safe and stay warm!

On Thursday, December 14, 2023, the Westwood Board of Education will hold a special meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to evaluate Superintendent Stiles Simmons. It will be held at the Equilla Bradford Administrative Center, 3335 S. Beech Daly, Dearborn Heights and will start at 6 p.m.

The District will be closed November 22-24, 2023, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We look forward to seeing students back at school on Monday, November 27, 2023. Have a safe, healthy and happy Thanksgiving.

The Westwood Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 6 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is discussion and approval of the School Resource Officer grant program, which, if approved, will place an officer in all District schools.

The meeting location is the Equilla Bradford Administrative Center, 3335 S. Beech Daly, Dearborn Heights.

The School of Choice window has been extended to September 29, 2023. Westwood welcomes all interested families to apply for enrollment.

The Westwood Board of Education will combine two separate meetings, currently scheduled to be held on September 12, 2023 and September 14, 2023, into one meeting. The single meeting will be a Combined Work Study Session and Regular Board Meeting. It will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and will start at 7 p.m. The meeting location is the Equilla Bradford Administrative Center, 3335 S. Beech Daly, Dearborn Heights.

The first day of school for the Westwood Community School District is Monday, August 28! Grades 1-12 will have a full day, while kindergartners will have a 1/2 day.
